This year’s EE Live! conference will feature the Silicon Valley Open Innovation Summit, a special event focused on helping accelerate product innovation. Organized by end-to-end supply chain solutions company Flextronics, the full-day event offers attendees an opportunity to learn about the innovation challenges and experiences they will face when creating products for a number of emerging markets.
EE Live! 2014 will return to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center this March 31 – April 3, and will present a plethora of focused programs, educational sessions, postmortems, award ceremonies, special events, and more for the electronics engineering community. The Silicon Valley Open Innovation Summit will be held on April 2, from 10:45AM to 5:45PM — you can preview the presentations planned for the event on EE Live!’s schedule builder. It is open to all EE Live! pass holders, including Expo.
The Silicon Valley Open Innovation Summit looks to help accelerate innovation and reduce time-to-market by connecting developers of new, disruptive technologies and components to the community of technical professionals who are designing them into tomorrow’s products. The summit’s lineup of speakers includes companies that have real-world experience in successfully applying disruptive technologies in human machine interfacing, connectivity, sensors and actuators, power and battery management, computing, and materials while at the same time accelerating their product development cycles.
In the “Product Innovation Challenges & Experiences: Industrial & Automotive” session, for example, attendees will learn how the confluence of pervasive networking, computing, and emerging human interface changes how we shop, manage our home, and move around. The summit will feature similar presentations that examine the challenges in product development complexity — as well as strategies to overcome those obstacles — of “Medical & Infrastructure” and “Wearables & Consumer”.
For the “Poster Session and Elevator Pitch Presentations on Emerging Platform Technologies”, attendees will receive an overview of wide ranging technologies in Human Machine Interfacing, Sensors and Actuators, Wireless, Battery and Power Management, Computing, and Semiconductors. Each presentation will be an elevator pitch on the technology with its key differentiation and application. The presentations will have associated posters for attendees to review after the talk and will provide opportunities to talk to presenters and/or company representatives.
